Secure business systems

Business Information Systems, Designed and Built Securely

Most small businesses run on a website, a few spreadsheets, message threads and tools that do not talk to each other. The work gets done, but nobody can see all of it in one place.

Saleen Tech helps small businesses improve how their websites, software and everyday processes work together. We study how work moves between people, identify the information involved, and develop practical applications, workflows and reporting tools around those needs.

Security is part of the design from the first conversation: who can see what, what is recorded and how the system is maintained.

Our approach

We Start With How Your Business Works

Software fails when it is built before the work is understood. So we begin with four questions.

  • Who uses the system?

Customers, staff, supervisors and managers need different things. We list each role and what that role should be able to see and do.

  • How does the work move?

We follow a request from the moment it arrives to the moment it is closed: who acts, who approves and what happens when something goes wrong.

  • What information is involved?

We identify the records the business depends on, where each one is created and who is responsible for keeping it correct.

  • What must it connect to?

We check the tools you already use, so we can reduce repeated data entry and make sure information reaches the places that need it.

The answers become a written scope you can review before development starts.

What we do

Six Parts of a Dependable Business System

A project may need one of these or several. We scope only what your situation requires.

  1. Systems Analysis and Design

We turn a business problem into a clear plan for software. That means listing the users, their requirements and the rules the system must follow, then describing the screens, records and permissions before anything is built.

You can review and correct the design while changes are still cheap.

  2. Process and Workflow Software

A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) often lives in a document that nobody opens. We map each step of the process and build it into software: forms, assignments, approvals and follow-up actions.

For example, a supervisor assigns a site check, a staff member submits the required record, and an authorised reviewer approves it or asks for follow-up. Management sees outstanding work without searching through messages.

  3. Data, Records and Reporting

Reports are only as good as the records behind them. We define what the system stores, how records relate to each other and who may change them.

From that structure we build dashboards and reports for managers: work in progress, completed activity, recorded incidents and other agreed measures. We define each measure with you first, so the numbers mean the same thing to everyone.

  4. System Integration

We connect a website or application with the tools you already use, where supported interfaces are available. We define what information is exchanged, which permissions are needed and what happens when a transfer fails.

The aim is to reduce repeated data entry and make the exchange of information between your systems more reliable.

  5. Web Applications, Portals and WordPress

We build the systems people actually log in to: client portals, staff dashboards, internal applications and WordPress websites. Each user sees the view that fits their role.

    Typical requirements include:

    • Separate views for customers, staff and administrators
    • Forms, assignments, approvals and status updates
    • Activity history appropriate to the application
    • Testing of essential user journeys before launch
  6. Security and Access Control

Security is designed in, then maintained. For applications, we plan roles, permissions and the handling of sensitive records as part of the scope.

For WordPress websites, an agreed review may cover:

    • Administrator accounts and user roles
    • Active plugins, themes and update arrangements
    • Supported login protection options
    • Backups and a tested recovery workflow
    • Supported activity logging tools

The work is defined around your actual site, available access and hosting. No system can be promised to be immune to attack.

Experience Behind Our Direction

An information system for patrol operations

Our team’s work includes Supreme Safe Streets, a community patrol platform built for Supreme Security Services’ own patrol operations, with separate roles for residents, field guards, dispatchers and supervisors, and administrators.

Each role has its own view. Residents submit patrol and vacation-watch requests and report suspicious activity. Guards record their shifts, property and vacation checks and incidents. Dispatchers and supervisors assign tasks, review incidents and approve community alerts. Administrators manage communities, users and patrol zones, and the system produces daily activity and monthly reports.

Zohaib led the project, from the framework of roles and workflows to its phased delivery. It shaped the way we plan roles, requests, records and management reporting.

Project status: deployed for Supreme Security Services, with a controlled resident pilot being prepared. Live GPS tracking of patrol officers is planned and not yet connected.

Supreme Safe Streets is related private project work by our team, not an independent client result. It supports physical patrol operations and is separate from cybersecurity monitoring. The screenshot shows the administration overview; live figures are blurred.

WP Supreme Security: a WordPress security plugin

Our founder developed WP Supreme Security as an internal security plugin for a group of related WordPress sites. Its working features include login protection with lockouts after repeated failed attempts, blocking of repeated suspicious requests, a private login address, a guard against code running from the uploads folder, file scanning for changed WordPress core files and known malicious code patterns, and email alerts. It is not offered for sale.

Websites and learning platforms

Our work also includes business websites and a course and learning management website. See examples on Our Work.

How we work

How We Plan and Deliver Your Project

  1. Understand the business

We discuss the problem, the users, the existing tools and the information involved. We also establish who can authorise access and approve changes.

  2. Map the process and the records

We write down the user roles, process steps, records and connections to other tools. You receive a scope with agreed deliverables and acceptance criteria, plus a process map and a description of the records where the project requires them.

  3. Design and build

We develop the website or application in stages you can review. Permissions and data handling are part of the design, not an addition at the end.

  4. Test and launch

We check the agreed user journeys, access rules, forms and integrations, and review the deployment and recovery arrangements included in the scope.

  5. Hand over and support

We document access, responsibilities and operating instructions. Ongoing work follows an agreed support plan, and larger additions are scoped separately.

About the Founder

Saleen Tech was founded by Zohaib Akram. He holds a Bachelors of Computer Engineering from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan.

Zohaib has worked in Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations, where he monitored and investigated security alerts and supported incident response. He has also delivered websites, web applications and internal tools for service businesses, working remotely with clients.

Those two kinds of work lead to the same idea: an information system should fit the way a business works, and it should be secure by design.

Development roadmap

Where Saleen Tech Is Heading

Saleen Tech is a small team. Over the coming years we plan to deepen four capabilities. Timing depends on training, staffing and customer demand.

  1. More formal analysis and modelling

Today we scope projects with written requirements, and with process maps where a project needs them. We plan to adopt standard modelling methods for processes and data, so larger systems are easier to review, maintain and hand over.

  2. Business intelligence

Today we build dashboards and reports on the records a system already holds. We plan to add structured analysis of business data across several sources, so managers can see trends as well as current status.

  3. Integration across business tools

We plan to design integrations across a business’s tools as a whole, so information moves reliably between separate systems instead of being copied by hand.

A small Security Operations Centre

Planned · not available

We plan to develop a small Security Operations Centre (SOC) for small businesses. A SOC is a team that reviews security alerts, investigates suspicious activity and follows agreed procedures to notify the right people.

Our intended starting model is limited: selected customer systems, agreed service hours, documented escalation routes and regular reporting.

This service is not yet available. Coverage hours, supported systems and response commitments will be confirmed before any monitoring agreement is offered.

The planned service would include:

  • Onboarding supported systems and identifying available security logs
  • Reviewing alerts from connected security tools
  • Recording findings and separating routine activity from issues needing attention
  • Escalating incidents through agreed customer contacts
  • Providing summaries of reviewed activity and outstanding improvements

Cybersecurity monitoring concerns digital systems and is separate from CCTV monitoring and physical patrol work.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a business information system?

It is the combination of people, process, records and software a business uses to do its work. A client portal, a workflow application and a reporting dashboard are all parts of one. We design the parts so they work together.

What do you mean by secure business systems?

Software developed with attention to user permissions, information handling, testing and maintenance. The right controls depend on the application, its users and the data involved.

Can you develop software around our standard operating procedures?

Yes. We map the steps in your SOPs and turn agreed processes into forms, tasks, approvals, records and reporting. We clarify exceptions and responsibility for each step before development.

Do we need custom software or an existing tool?

We start with your requirements. An existing tool, configuration or an integration may be enough. We suggest custom development only where the workflow or access requirements justify it.

What documentation do we receive?

Before development, a written scope with the roles, agreed deliverables and acceptance criteria. Where the size of the project requires it, the scope also includes a process map and a description of the records. At handover, notes on access, responsibilities and operating instructions.

Can you help with an existing WordPress website?

Yes. We can define a review and improvement project around your current website. The scope depends on its setup, hosting, access and existing maintenance arrangements. See WordPress development.

Are you currently offering a managed SOC service?

No. A small SOC is part of our planned development. Any future monitoring agreement will specify supported systems, coverage hours, escalation contacts and response responsibilities before service begins.

How much will a project cost?

Cost depends on scope, users, integrations, existing systems and support needs. After an initial discussion we define the work and prepare an estimate. Third-party licences and hosting costs are identified separately.

Who owns the delivered system and accounts?

Ownership, account access, source code handover and third-party licences are set out in your project agreement. We explain these arrangements before work begins.
